It tends to be a strong fit if you can answer yes to most of these:
For many programs, Spanish skills are required (at least a low-intermediate level), but placements can be found in some sectors for complete beginners (e.g. Teaching English). Certain fields may have specific requirements for prior experience or studies.
An advisor answers your questions about placements, housing and costs, and helps you choose a city and a start date.
English-speaking Adelante staff are on the ground where you’ll be. You meet them in your first week, and you can reach them day and evening.

Our team is available 24/7 for emergencies, and we encourage you to be as independent as you can: getting yourself through the challenges of a new place is part of the growth.
Teaching English Candidates wishing to teach English can choose from Madrid, Barcelona, or Seville in Spain, or Viña del Mar, Chile, Oaxaca, Mexico or Montevideo, Uruguay. This is also a great option for anyone with short-term availability as programs can be anywhere from 1-6 months. Social Media For anyone interested in researching, writing and photographing local entertainment venues, tourist attractions and social events, this internship is a very exciting opportunity. Create content for an English-language website for a company based in California. This internship is available in either Madrid or Barcelona. Programs are from 2-6 months. Working with Children Another option for those with no or little Spanish is to work with children. This could be volunteering at an orphanage in Mexico, working with street kids in Chile or interning with immigrant minority groups in Spain. Programs are from 2-6 months.
The application deadline is 60-90 days prior to your chosen start date. Late applications are accepted on a case by case basis and are subject to a $250 late fee.
Many students are able to earn academic credit through their home university while participating in an internship through Adelante Abroad. We recommend checking with your study abroad office or academic advisor for specific requirements and how credits will transfer.
